Cherries and Sparrows

Inspired by Walter Martin & Paloma Munoz I made some snowglobes. Bought empty snowglobes, inspiring figurines and sculpted some winterlandscapes. This one, a present for my friend in Berlin, features a dialogue between a man and a rabbit.

This Papercraft Self Portrait was Eric Testroete his Halloween costume last weekend. Eric is a 3D artist in the Vancouver game industryand he was inspired by the big-head mode seen in videogames. It was probably quite fun for him to do an offscreen project with his 3D skills. You can find more photos in this Flickr set. (via Papercraft Self Portrait - today and tomorrow)
The pictures from the Albert Kahn archive are amazing. You can hardly belive that they are made between 1909 en 1931.
I scratched my knee when falling of my bike in the dunes. What a nostalgic injury! It brings back fond memories. Playing outside, building huts, climbing trees and falling down. When I hurt myself my mother gave a kiss on the sore spot and the pain disappeared as if by magic. I could use such a kiss now…
I’m such a big fan of Victor & Rolf. The last exhibition I visited with my mom was the V&R dollhouse and V&R retrospective in Utrecht.
